This circuit unites the lush interior valleys of the Junta with the spectacular seascape of Puerto Raúl Marín Balmaceda. One of its accesses is through the north entrance of La Junta, there is a road to the west that leads to the town of Puerto Raúl Marín Balmaceda.
The 75 km journey borders the meandering Palena River at all times. On the way you will find the Garrao channel and the Piti Palena fjord. It is necessary to cross the Palena River in a small ferry, free of charge, but with limited hours (we suggest you consult the Raúl Marín Balmaceda Police or the Board Office for the operating hours of the barge, since in summer the hours are extended). Puerto Raúl Marín Balmaceda is a town located in front of the sea, formed by the delta of the Palena River. It is the starting point for sailing that allows you to see the abundant birdlife in the sector, appreciate the sector of the bar and the Melimoyu volcano. This heritage route has attractive landscapes on the banks of the river, huge waterfalls and dense vegetation.
